Who We Are

  • Founder

Joel De Mowbray has six years of experience delivering public infrastructure projects from cycle superhighway 4 to liveable neighbourhoods with Greenwich and Lambeth councils. He has been managing a team of 6-10 people throughout that time and is therefore extremely familiar with navigating, executing and delivering projects within the local authority space. Additionally, Joel’s time at Lambeth coincided with a structural change within the organisation so that stakeholder engagement became a key focus of project development, this was something that Joel spearheaded, the new Community Street Design Team that has been responsible for the rapid delivery of Lambeth’s Emergency Transport response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

On top of this, Joel has been woodworking and carving for the past 20 years. It is something that has run in his family for 4 generations and has culminated in the start of Yes Make. Yes Make draws on experience from navigating the public system to build and improve on existing public and community spaces with Joel’s well-rounded experience making things to create a company that delivers prompt and high-quality work with a uniquely natural aesthetic.
